…they put their life on hold …on remembering how y’all got so upset learning we were ‘water-boarding’ Enemy Combatants to gain valuable intelligence, thus saving thousands of innocent lives – how quickly some complain, while forgetting the blood sweat & tears, nay, the very lives dedicated to the protection of freedom.

The morning news left me appalled

enhanced interrogation program

was to be stalled

and the very thought left me galled

Thinking of all those safe at home

living far away from the danger zone

on how we wage war they complain and groan

There hands are clean

they’ll sleep sound tonight

knowing others will boldly go

and take-up the fight

assuring they’ll never live in fright

I need to ask

they must know it’s true

the lives of thousands

in the hands of a few

you know they will

and follow through

We should sing loud in appreciation

thousands of hours spent in frustration

assuring the Free World’s continued salvation

Un-named souls for you put their life on hold

the enemy’s aggression is uncontrolled

sing “Hoo..Ah”  for their service

please don’t scold

I believe our Honor was stolen by a thief

we are now seeing the mountain of grief
