The fall of Tripoli
The Sun illuminated the dawn
exposing war-torn empty streets
now hunted by Gadhafi loyalist
shooting almost anyone they see
…
Last nights fantastic jubilation
faded away on the morning fog
Gadhafi remains in hiding
two sons captured like a dog
…
Now the fighters rest and regroup
praying they were not dreaming
realizing the Government has crumbled
their future now more confusing
…
…and so ends the first day of the fall of Tripoli

No worries – no worries
they finally took a stand
victory on the foundation of freedom
like a virus executing a plan
…
Hap-hazard and at times comical
were it not for all the horror
Tripoli falls – Gadhafi disappears
a vacuum looking for a restorer
…
It’s now 4;30 in the morning (in Tripoli – August 22, 2011)
need to get some sleep – will write more tomorrow.
